Jean A. Starling, 80, of Middleway, died Sunday, May 1, 2016, at her residence.

Born Feb. 10, 1936, in Clifton, Virginia, she was the daughter of Alvah B. Spindle and Elvira (Ellyott) Spindle.

Mrs. Starling retired from the Stonewall High School, Manassas, Virginia, in the cafeteria food services.

She was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 1028, Charles Town.

Jean is survived by her three daughters, Ava Tyndall and husband, Mike, of Manassas, Faye Coffey, of Winchester, Virginia, and Angela E. Williams and husband, Kelly, of Middleway; four sons, Jheri Coffey and companion, Walter, of California, Tommy Starling, of Woodbridge, Virginia, James Starling, of Indiana and Randy Starling, of Front Royal, Virginia; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gilbert Spindle and Marvin Spindle and wife, Jan, all of Manassas; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Kenneth Starling, who died July 7, 1994; daughter, Carole Bentham; son, Charles Kenneth Coffey; and two brothers, Albert Spindle and Windle Spindle.

Per Mrs. Starling's request, there will be no services.
