Sammy K. Strong, 76, of Dayton, Ky passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospice Center, Edgewood, KY. Sammy was a relief repairman with General Motors. He liked to play golf. He was also an avid fisherman and a former member of the Midnight Anglers & Limestone Fishing Clubs. Sammy was born September 17, 1939 in Sulphur Gap, KY to Ray Strong and the late Hattie (nee: Little) Strong. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Strong. Sammy is survived by his wife, Carol (nee: Adams) Strong; father, Ray Strong; daughters, Sandy (Roger) Milner, Barb (Mike) Boyers, Jenny (Shawn) Williams; eleven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; sisters, Kathy (Ron, deceased) Hogle, Clara (Rick) Steinmetz, Mildred (Tom) Gindle; brother, Larry (Becky) Strong; sister in law, Lillie Strong. Visitation 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Dobbling, Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Bellevue. Funeral Ceremony will be held 10:00 am, Thursday, May 5, 2016, at the Dobbling, Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Bellevue, Kentucky, with Rev. Mike Sweeney, officiating. Burial will take place in the Alexandria Cemetery, Alexandria, Kentucky. Memorials are suggested to the Hospice of the Bluegrass or St. Elizabeth Hospice.
