Of Farmington, passed at Presbyterian Manor. She was born April 29, 1920 in Des Arc to Arley Everett and Macey (Seal) Hassell. She was united in marriage to Artie R. McClard, August 8, 1940. She was called to her Heavenly home, to receive her angel wings on April 30, 2016 at the age of 96 years and 1 day. Alma was a member and attended the Assembly of God Church in Bismarck, all of her adult life, with near perfect attendance for over 60 years. She was dearly loved, and she touched the hearts of all who knew her. A dedicated homemaker, she always put her children and grandchildren’s needs and desires over her own. She loved doing for others and never spoke ill of others. Alma always offered the benefit of doubt no matter the situation. A faithful follower of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Alma was ready to go to her heavenly home. Just a few weeks before her passing, she told her daughter, “It will all be alright when I get to Heaven.” She was indeed a wonderful Christian role model. Now happy and whole in the arms of Jesus, Alma is reaping her Heavenly treasures, dearly loved and missed by family and friends.
She was preceded in death by husband, Artie McClard; parents; two brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by three daughters, Judy Bradley (Fred) of DeSoto, Karen Davis (Rev. Jim) of Bridgeton, Patricia Vester of Farmington; sister Naomi Boyer of Park Hills; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive. Alma, also known lovingly as “Mimmy,” was blessed with seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
