Eldest child of Wilborn Henderson Bankston and Quintana Owen Bankston, one of six known siblings born to this union. Wilborn wed the widow of Elijah Wesley Brazier, Amanda Rebecca Bush Brazier ca 1858 after Quintana's untimely death.
Mary Ann Bankston wed in Monroe Co., GA December 1851, as the first wife of Andrew Jeremiah Howard, who lived near his sisters Kiddy and Martha 'Mattie'. Each sister married a Sappington brother. A J Howard was left with a baby boy, J Henderson Howard only a few months old. The dates of birth and death fit and this is a logical place for her to rest. A J married second Miss Sarah Francis Owen in the year 1853, Pike Co., GA.
