The Glasgow Herald, Wednesday, February 14th., 1917. Death notice:-
"KERR.- At 16, Holyrood Crescent, on 10th. inst., Agnes Smith, wife of the late Robert Kerr, and daughter of the late Robert MacHaffie (sic) of Eastwood.- Funeral today (Wednesday), 14th., at 2.30 p.m., to the Necropolis; friends wishing to be present kindly advise Messrs. Wylie & Lochhead, Ltd,, 96 Union Street, and accept this (the only) intimation and invitation; flowers respectfully declined."

The Glasgow Herald, Monday Morning, October 13th., 1845. Died (page 2) :- "At Largs, on the 10th. instant, Agnes Smith, wife of Robert M'Haffie, Esq., of Eastwood."

Same publication, Thursday, February 15th., 1917 (page 4):- "THE LATE MRS. ROBERT KERR. There was buried yesterday the remains of a representative of more than one well-known old Glasgow family. Mrs Robert Kerr was the only daughter of Robert M'Haffie of Eastwood, son of David M'Haffie of Eastwood, whose vigorous face looked down on us from Graham Gilbert's canvas on the walls of the Glasgow International Exhibition of 1901. On her father's side Mrs Kerr was a cousin of the late Lord Watson. Mrs Kerr's mother was a daughter of Stewart Smith, Bailie of Glasgow 1820 to 1828, and Dean of Guild 1828 to 1830. By her grandmother, Mrs Stewart Smith, the subject of one of the very finest of Graham Gilbert's portraits, Mrs Kerr was connected with the Grahams of Lancefield and O???ral Street. In 1861 Mrs Kerr married Robert Kerr, of Paisley, son of Robert Kerr of Crookston Hall. The venerable couple celebrated their golden wedding in 1911. Mrs Kerr was in her seventy-ninth year, and is survived by a family of four sons and five daughters."
