Mrs. Mona Lee Fish, 58, of Jackson Springs passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at First Health Hospice House in Pinehurst with her family at her side.

A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at New Life Tabernacle UPC in Aberdeen with Pastor Dennis Patterson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. A private burial will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake.

Mona was born in Richmond, Indiana on November 29, 1954 to Thomas Henry and Vernon Christine Brady Abbott. She was a member of New Life Tabernacle UPC and was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband, David Wayne Fish; three children, Natashia Manley of Aberdeen, Nicole Anderson, Joshua Jackson of Indiana; two step-children, Gina Goette and husband Jeremy of South Carolina, Ann Scmidt and husband Jimmy of High Point; one sister, Kathy Colburn of Aberdeen; two brothers, Larry Abbott and Duane Abbott of Indiana; nine grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews; father and mother-in-law, Roger and Inez Fish of Whispering Pines; brother-in-laws, Roger and Ronald Fish.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Henry and Vernon Christine Brady Abbott.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to New Life Tabernacle UPC, 208 N Pine St, Aberdeen NC 28315 or First Health Hospice Foundation, 150 Applecross Rd Pinehurst NC 28374.
