Ralph E. Brown, Sr., 80, of Mt. Gilead, Ohio died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2001 at his home.

He was born in Franklin County on August 19, 1921, the son of the late William & Loia McHenry Brown. Ralph and six of his brothers all were WWII veterans. He worked for ARA Food Services in Columbus and as the youth director for Hidden Lakes near Mt. Gilead. He was a member of Seniors on Center, the Morrow Co. Moose Lodge, and the VFW Post 8054 in Mt. Gilead.

He is survived by a daughter Julie Johnson of Chatsworth, GA; a son Jeff Brown of Westerville, OH; four grandchildren Jon & Joey Henderson, Kayla & Daryl Brown; three great grandchildren Jon, JoDee and Justice; three brothers Earl Brown of Marengo, OH, Eugene Brown of Cardington, OH, and Donald Brown of Westerville, OH; and two sisters Juanita Flowers and Charlotte Dunn both of Westerville, OH.

His wife Betty J. Fields Brown, a son Ralph "Ed" Brown, Jr., brothers George, William, Frank, Howard, and Harold, and sisters Cora and Nellie, preceded him in death.

Ralph E. Brown, Sr., 80, of Mt. Gilead, Ohio died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2001 at his home.
