Athalia Hatch Jensen, age 88 of Antimony, passed away April 29, 2016 in Nephi, Utah.
She was born March 3, 1928 in Koosharem, Utah, a daughter of Golden Deloss and Nellie Luella Torgersen Hatch.

Athalia graduated from Richfield High School in 1946.

She married Hal D. Jensen, June 21, 1946 in Richfield, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. Hal died January 19, 2011.

Hal and Athalia moved to Antimony soon after their marriage. With love and hard work they made a wonderful life together. Gardening, cooking and sewing were only part of her many talents. She made everyone feel welcome in their home. With a pot of soup on the stove or a yummy piece of cake, no one ever left hungry. She loved reading and learning and was an avid sports fan. Hal and Athalia were devoted companions and made each of their children and grandchildren feel loved and happy. She served in numerous church callings and was a great asset to the Antimony community.

Athalia later married David D Urie, November 15, 2011 in Nephi, Utah. He died June 6, 2014.

Athalia is survived by her children: Duane and Cindy Jensen of Highland; Kendal and Ruth Jensen of Payson; Kathryn and Randy Gould of Nephi; and Eva Jane and Thane Wilson of Salt Lake City; 22 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Hal D Jensen, a son Lee Edward Jensen, her brother Lawaun Hatch, her second husband David D Urie.

Funeral services will be held Monday May 9, 2016 at 12:00 Noon in the Antimony LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Monday morning from 9:30 to 11:30 prior to services.

Burial will be in the Antimony Cemetery under the care of Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah
