Leonard John Nowak of Highland, passed away February 19, 2016 at 93 years of age. Loving husband of the late Angela. Beloved father of . . . . Loving grandfather of 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild on the way. Brother of . . . . Brother-in-law of . . . .
Mr. Nowak was a member of the VFW and The American Legion post in Harrison, Michigan. He was a World War II U.S. Army Veteran and was proud to have landed in Normandy. He will be dearly missed by all.
Cremation has taken place and a FAMILY ONLY private memorial service will be held at a later date. Mr. Nowak will be laid to rest with his wife at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly,Michigan. Memorial contributions suggested to the Alzheimer's Association www.alz.org, the Dementia Society of America www.dementiasociety.org or a charity of your choice.
