Lucas "Luke" Throneberry, 76, of Pine Bluff, died November 16, 2001, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
He was born June 12, 1925, at Star City, a son of the late Alfred Throneberry and Jeanette Ellison Throneberry.
He was reared at Star City and graduated from Star City High School. He attended Ouachita Baptist University and served in the Army.
He was a Baptist and a past president of the American Little League.
He moved to Pine Bluff in 1943 and worked at the Pine Bluff Arsenal. He retired in 1988 after 39 years from the Cotton Belt Railroad as a purchasing clerk.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Sue Meadows Throneberry, whom he married on March 15, 1949, at Sheridan; two sons, Keith Throneberry of Pine Bluff and Mark Throneberry of White Hall; one daughter, Susan Smith of Pine Bluff; and three grandsons.
Graveside services will be 10 a. m. Monday in Memorial Park Cemetery with Dr. J. R. DeBusk officiating. Burial will be by Charles E. Fuller Funeral Company.
The family will be at the home.
