Catherine M. Hirz, 87, of Paterson, N.J passed away on Friday, June 23, 2017 in Ewing, NJ.
Born in Paterson, NJ, Catherine resided in the Passaic County area for most of her life, only moving to Ewing five years ago.
She retired in 1993 from the Passaic County Court House where she was employed for many years as a mail clerk.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, she will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Daughter of the late Philip and Marie (Hagen) Donnelly; sister of the late: Marie Pearson, Muriel Forbes, Phyllis Cavallo, her twin, Frances Fitzgerald, and Thomas Kerwin.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Thomas Hirz; her four children: Thomas Hirz and wife Louise, Frances Gallagher, Margaret and husband Carl Benedetti, and Kathleen and husband Robert DiMond; four beloved grandchildren: Daniel and Thomas Di Mond, Scott Gallagher, and Erin Hirz; a brother, Charles Donnelly of Center Reach, L.I.N.Y.; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
