This is in memory of my great-grandmother, my mother's grandmother and her father's mother. We called her Mamee. I remember visiting Mamee at her house until she went into the nursing home. There she fell and broke her hip. She entered Marksville General Hospital at the same time I had just delivered my son there. I stayed in hospital for one week, during that time I was moved to three different beds. For whatever reason, she was moved right into the bed of which I had been in previously. She died a week after my son, Jamey, was born, the same day I was released from the hospital. She was married to Martinus Guillory who had previously passed away in 1964.
Together she and my great-grandfather had six children:
Percy, Lonis (my grandfather), Lizadee, Sybil, Verdie and Ura.
