Rev. James Garland Early, 69, of Pineburr Rd., Lenoir, N.C., died Thursday evening, Dec. 29, 2005, at his residence, following a lengthy illness.
He was born Nov. 8, 1936 in Rutherford County, N.C., and was a son of the late Robert and Effie Marie Hyder Early.
Rev. Early was a minister for 50 years, and retired from the Laurel Springs Baptist Church in Boone, N.C. He was a member of Mt. Home Baptist Church where he served as the Sunday school teacher for the 60 and over class.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and seven sisters.
Burial followed at Burke Memorial Park.
