Alan Todd Bergeson, 52, of Kailua, a retired Air Force chief master sergeant and a Mele Komo property manager, died in Kailua. He was born in Clasp, Ore.

He is survived by father Larry L., brothers Mark and Russell, and sister Paula Misspelt.

Alan Todd Bergeson, 52, of Kailua, Hawaii passed away on Friday, February 19, 2016. He was the eldest of four children born to Larry Leroy Bergeson and Marianne Sponberg in Astoria, Oregon in the County of Clatsop on June 28, 1963. He was a retired Chief Master Sergeant with the United States Air Force and also a property manager of Mele Komo LLC.

He attended high school in Seaside, Oregon and after graduation he began his lifetime career with the United States Air Force where he obtained his last rank as a Chief Master Sergeant. He served his country from 2013 to November of 2015 and after 30 years of service he retired. He was also involved with property management where he was a property manager of Mele Komo LLC.

He made his life in Hawaii and called the city of Kailua Oahu home. He had many special friends some of them were: Blossom Logan, Kandee Almond, Kerry Fleischauer, Debbie Galimba, Kathleen Popa, Tamal-Lani Noh, Nolan A&K Kaamanii (Alika) and Suzie Calhoun to name a few.

Alan loved the water and enjoyed being out and laying out in the sun, and traveling. He loved a variety of music and was never set on just one genre. Things that meant everything to him were his family, friends, and his three dogs.

He is survived by his father, Larry Leroy Bergeson; siblings, Mark (Suzette) Bergeson, Paula (Don) Mespelt, Russell Bergeson; nephews and nieces.

Alan’s Committal Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 6, 2016 at the Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery Committal Shelter.

Alan was a wonderful son, brother and loved by all family and friends and will be missed by ALL. He was a son that ANY Parent would have been very proud to have called him son. May Alan’s “ALOHA” spirit keep him alive in all whose lives he’s touched.
