Blanche Wilson Cottrell, age 72, passed away April 22, 1992, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born September 15, 1919 in Springville, Utah, she was the daughter of Robert E. and Geneve Hyde Wilson. After her graduation from West High School, Blanche was associated with General Electric until she left to become Congressman Will Robinson's secretary in Washington, D.C. during World War II. She was previously married to David Allen, who lost his life in combat in World War II. Later she married Reed B. Cottrell.

Her love of flowers was evidenced in the beauty of her plants. Blanche will further be remembered for her compassion, her witty sense of humor, and her quick laughter. The community service she most enjoyed, serving as a Pink Lady at Holy Cross Hospital.

She is survived by her two sons, David G. Allen, Concord, Mass; Stephen W. Cottrell, Salt Lake City; one grandson, Grayson Allen; two brothers, Robert Hyde Wilson, New York City, New York; Frank M. Wilson, Las Vegas, Nev. She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Jane Wilson.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 25, 12:30 p.m., Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 1342 East 500 South. Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon, prior to services.
