Funeral services for James C. "Jim" Letlow, Jr., 68, of Theodore, AL formerly of Rayville, LA will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, April 29, 2016 at First Baptist Church, Rayville, LA with Johnny Hoychick, Billy Coenen, Kalyn Goleman, Ben Burgess, Richard Letlow, and E.E. Letlow officiating. Interment will follow in the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Rayville, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville.
Jim was born December 16, 1947 in Baton Rouge, LA and passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016 after a sudden illness. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War.He was a retired manager of Flowerwood Nursery in Mobile, AL. Jim was of the Baptist faith, and also attended our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Mobile, AL. He was a very proud graduate of LSU. He was an avid supporter of not only LSU but of the New Orleans Saints. Jim's ability to cook was unsurpassed only by his knowledge and love of plants.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Florine Richards Letlow and James C. Letlow, Sr.
Survivors include Rhonda R. Adams; stepdaughter - Kelly Goleman; grandchildren: Kalyn Goleman and Damion Goleman; daughter - Jenifer Kuykendall and family; brothers: William C. Letlow, Donald R. Letlow and wife, Sherri, and Richard Letlow and wife, Judy; sisters: Sandy Green and husband, Bill and Deborah Burgess and husband, Grover; nieces and nephews: Abby Greer and husband, Brad, Will Green and wife, Melissa, Ben Burgess and wife, Kimberly, Hanna Burgess, Mary Burgess, Lane Letlow and wife, Daphne, Kelsey Letlow, and James Letlow; great nieces and nephews: Drew Greer, Murphy Green, Britton Burgess, Jameson Burgess, MeKenna Letlow, and Arden Letlow.
Pallbearers are Will Green, Ben Burgess, Lane Letlow, James T. Letlow, John Brierly, and Damion Goleman.
Honorary pallbearers are Ralph Rushing, Bill Bolding, Bill Green, Grover Burgess, Vince Resso, Gerald Resso, Tim Gwaltney, and the Class of 1965.
