The funeral was 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002, with burial in Barnett Cemetery. Brother Frank Stoll and Brother Larry Wilson officiated.He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Tate and husband, Kendall, Rogersville, Kim Barnett and husband, Thomas, Killen; stepdaughters, Alnita Roden, Rogersville, and Rita Berryman, Muscle Shoals; mother, Lottie King Bills, Florence; sisters, Linda Lamar, Huntsville, Judy Copeland, Fort Wayne, Ind., Becky Sides, Athens, Ala.; three grandchildren, Alyx Tate, Thomas Barnett, Caleb Barnett; step-grandson, Jason Wray.He was preceded in death by Lera Thomas; the childrens mother, Jeffie Crane; his father, Emmit Bills; and brother, Terry Bills.Pallbearers will be Darren Sides, Mike Moss, Glenn Tate, Michael Lamar, Barry Pack and Corey Garrett.Honorary pallbearers will be Rex Davis, David Estes, Robert Pollard, Chuck Moss, Dennis Thrasher and Gerald Moore.He was a lifelong resident of Lauderdale County.
