Max Fowler, of 1902 Cornelea Street, apparently stepped into the path of a car northbound on Highway 73-75, driven by Allen Dow Inman, 18, of 4111 Jewell Street in Council Bluffs, the State Patrol said.
The accident occurred about 7:30 p.m., one-half mile north of Childs Road in Sarpy County, troopers said.
Other survivors include his widow, Marie (Barnes) Fowler; father, Benjamin, of Centerville, Ia.; brothers, Harold, Ronald, Don and Wayne; sisters, Mrs. Irene Stoklasa, Mrs. Helen Tippy and Mrs. Bernice Leek.
