Audrey Ruth DeShane, 68, an eight-year resident of Madison Heights, formerly of Clawson and Tryo, died Tuesday, April 30, 1996, at home. She was born May 4, 1927, in Royal Oak.
Mrs. DeShane retired in 1994 after eight years with the Royal Oak Community Credit Union. She also was a member of the Clawson-Troy Elks Lodge Wapitis and a volunteer at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak.
Her husband, Wallace DeShane, is deceased. Her first husband, Donald A. Grier, survives.
Also surviving are her children, Robert W. Grier of Claswon, Elaine (Robert) Martin-Stomel of Farmington Hills, Donald A. (Debbie) Grier Jr. of Interlochen, Douglas P. (Elizabeth) Grier of Madison Heights, and Timothy E. (Lisa) Grier of Roseville: siblings, Edward Brown of San Diego, Calif., William Brown of Troy, and Thelma Travnikar of Warren: eight grandchildren: and tow great-grandchildren.
Visitation, 4-9 p.m. today at the William Sullivan and Son Funeral Home, 705 W. 11 Mile, Royal Oak: Elks Lodge of Sorrow service, 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home; Scripture service, 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home; Prayers, 9:15 a.m. Friday, followed by 10 a.m. Mass at Guardian Angels Catholic Church. Clawson; bur1al, White Chapel Memorial Cemetery, Troy. Memorial donations may be made to the Michigan Cancer Foundation, Children's Hospital, Detroit, and Botsford General Hospital Oncology Department.
