Leonard E. Swanger, 59, of 716 Seventeenth Ave., died Sunday at a Council Bluffs hospital.
He was born in Harrison County and had resided in Council Bluffs 35 years. He was a retired general contractor and member of Southside Christian Church.
Survivors include: widow, Myrtle; two daughters, Mrs. Doris Hager and Mrs. Alberta Gillman, both of Council Bluffs; two brothers, Melvin and Donald, both of Council Bluffs; three sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Dickinson and Mrs. Leta Teager, both of Logan and Mrs. Dorothy Althoff of Onawa; three half sisters, Mrs. Ethel Snethen of Council Bluffs, Mrs. Thelma Slater of Logan and Mrs. Marie Fowler of Omaha; and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Cutler Chapel. Warren Hughes, pastor of Southside Church, will officiate. Interment will be at Cedar Lawn Cemetery.
