Alan Michael Trant, 74 of Pembroke and formerly of Braintree, passed away on February 28, 2014. Born on February 29, 1940 in Cambridge, he was the son of the late Alan J. and Doris J. (Young) Trant. He was employed as a truck driver. Alan was an avid Boston sports fan, loved his grandchildren, and was a friend of Bill W. for over 30 years.

Alan was the devoted husband for 51 years to the late Sheila M. (Boyle) Trant. Loving father of Kenneth A. Trant and his wife Sarah of Pembroke, Brian P. Trant of Pembroke, Judiann E. McCoy and her husband Kevin of Mansfield, and Susan M. Kelliher and her husband Leo of Pembroke. Dear brother of Gail F. Turner and her husband Wesley of FL and Mary E. Boutin of Braintree. Cherished grandfather of Christina, Jason, Lisa, Liam, John, Ali, Thomas, Sammy, Jake, Derek, Sean, Declan, Molly, and Desiree.
