Mrs. Earlene K. Allred, 78, of Laurel, died Dec. 19, 2002, at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church of Myrick in Jones County with burial in Myrick Cemetery. The Rev. John Nichols will officiate. She was retired from Ellisville State School. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Myrick and a member of R. S. V. P. and Myrick Senior Citizens Group. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ray Allred in 1996. Mrs. Allred is survived by a son, Arthur Ray Allred of Laurel; a daughter and son-in-law, Edna Faye and Eddie Parker of Hattiesburg; two grandchildren, Nathan and Kathy Parker of Brandywine, W. V. and Brent and Jennifer Parker of Laurel; one great-granddaughter, Sarah Grace Parker of Laurel; two brothers, Oscar Kitchens and Norman (Sonny Boy) Kitchens, both of Laurel; one sister, Ora Mae Barnett of Waynesboro and a host of nieces and nephews. Deacons of First Baptist Church of Myrick will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Myrick. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Sunday. Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. Saturday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, which is in charge of arrangements.
