Loving wife, mother, sister and "Abby" to many cherished friends.

Passed away April 19, 2016 at the age of 58.

Sacramento native and John F. Kennedy High School graduate, Susan retired from the State of California in 2010 after nearly 30 years of service.

Susan enjoyed many hobbies, including beading, gardening and camping on the California Coast.

Susan is survived by her husband, Douglas Hicke, children Kari Albrecht, Daniel and Catrinica Albrecht and Robert and Codi Hicke, Grandchildren DeAngelo, Cianna and DeAndre Albrecht, Kaylee and Mackensie Hicke. Sister Kathleen Redd, brother James Morris, nieces and nephews.

Preceding her passing were her parents, James and Dorothy Morris and sister Elizabeth Herrback.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Volunteers in Victim Assistance (VIVA), 2020 Hurley Way, Suite 205, Sacramento, CA 95825 (916) 570-1690.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 28, at 10:00 a.m. at Heritage Oaks Memorial Chapel, 6920 Destiny Drive, Rocklin.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon.
