Mr. GARLAND EDWARD "Butch" REMSBURG, SR., 62, OF W. Patrick Street, Frederick, died Monday, Dec. 31, at Peninsula General Hospital Medical Center, Salisbury, while visiting with his children. He was the husband of Ruth Fitzgerald Remsburg. He was born in Petersville on Feb. 6, 1928, a son of the late Roger Albert and Mary Edna Norris Remsburg.
He was employed as a maintenance supervisor for the past 12 years with Crown American Corp. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. Army. He was of the Lutheran faith.
Surviving besides his wife are three sons, Garland E. Remsburg, Jr.; Lawrence A. Remsburg; and Donald R. Remsburg; daughter, Margart E. Jones; three brothers, Clinton William Remsburg, Lexington, NC; James Robert Remsburg, Keymar; and Richard Thomas Remsburg, Camden, De.; sister, Marybelle Helen Guntenmann, Brooktondale, NY; and four grandchildren.
Mr. Remsburg was preceded in death by three brothers, Albert Lewis Remsburg, Donald Roger Remsburg and Owen Joseph Remsburg.
Services were held at the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home; interment in the Lutheran Cemetery, Middletown.
