Ulysses Beales, 72, farmer and labourer, died at 6pm Friday at his home three miles northeast of Saratoga. He had been in failing health for several weeks.
Surviving are the wife, Bertha; two sons, Pvt. Everett Beales of South Carolina and Clinton of Winchester, and one daughter, Stella Beales at home.
The body was taken to the Thornburg funeral home at Farmland for burial preparation. Funeral arrangements had not been completed last night.
(Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at the Buena Vista church south of Farmland. Burial was made in the adjoining cemetery.
