Born in Mount Washington. Son of Peter & Phebe (Booth) Stevens. Husband of Lucretia Rawson, m. Mar 17, 1833 in Adams, Jefferson County, NY. Name also spelled Asahel & Aschel.
STEVENS—In Saudy Creek. N.Y., Nov. 25, 1887. Asahel B. Stevens, aged 79 years. Mr. Asahel B. Stevens, who died last week, was among the oldest residents of this town.
He has for a great many years resided on the Orwell road. He has always, been one of the substantial men of the town and an independent thinker. He was a member of the Methodist church. He was twice married, his present wife surviving fiim. Four sons and a daughter survive him, two sons, George L. and Albert B, reside in this town. The rest of the family reside in the Western states. The children, are all well to do and are among the most substantial citizens of the communities in which they reside.
