She was employed as a teacher's aide with various Frederick County Schools. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Middletown.
Surviving besides her parents and husband are five children, Kathy May Gouge, Jefferson, Karen Lee Hausler, Frederick; Gary Wyand Butner, Neal Albert Burtner and Joann Burtner, all at home; five sisters, Connie M. Nusbaum and Janet L. Shoemaker, both of Frederick; Linda L. Garber, Union Bridge; Diane I. Smith, Mount Airy; and June E. Wilson, Myersville; three brothers, LeRoy A. Adams, Jr., Myersville; Richard L. Adams and Mark A. Adams, both of Middletown; two grandchildren.
She was preceded by a son, William Jacob Burner; and a brother, Franklin Ross Adams.
Services were held at the Zion Lutheran Church, Middletown; interment in the Lutheran Cemetery, Middletown; arrangements were by the Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, Middletown.
