Sally Stovall married John Staples 20 Aug 1801. She came to Tarrant County in 1855 with her daughter and son-in-law, Fannie and Jeff Estill. Also with them was a granddaughter, Nancy Van Zandt. It is said in the family that she walked practically all the way from Salem, Tennessee to Tarrant County, Texas.
