Elisha Leake was the son of Walter Leake and Judith Mask, born at their home Rocky Spring. Elisha received land In Albemarle Co VA on the death of his father. Elisha was a Captain in the Revolutionary War. He married (1) Joyce Thomson, Apr 20, 1760 with whom he had at least one son, George Thomson Leake and a daughter Catherine 'Kitty" Leake who married twice, first to Robert Owen and second to John Powers. Elisha's second wife was (2) Fanny Curd by whom he had two sons, Col. Samuel Leake and and Richard Leake. Elisha's siblings were Josiah Leake, William Leake, Capt Mask Leake, Rev Samuel Leake, John Leake, Elizabeth Leake Coleman, Judith Leake Christian, Mary Leake Christian, and Christian Leake Johnson.
