Mrs. Ida M. Patterson Passes Away Sunday Night
Had Suffered From the Disease for a Number of Years--Leaves Four Children--Interment at Mediapolis
About twelve o'clock Sunday night Mrs. Ida M. Patterson, residing on East Madison street, passed away, deathcoming as the result of a prolonged siege of tuberculosis. Mrs. Patterson was a woman of about forty five years of age and the past few years of her life have been filled at times with suffering from the attacks of the disease which had gined such a firm grip upon her.
She is survived by four children who were all present at her bedside during the last hours of her life. The children are Edna and Stella, daughters and Earl, a son who is employed in the Journal office in this city and another son, Ross, who just returned a day before his mother's death from the United States navy service.
A brief funeral service was conducted at two-thirty o'clock this afternoon at the home by Dr. R. A. Ingham, pastor of the first M. E. church, of which Mrs. Patterson was a member. However, interment will not be had here, the body to be taken tomorrow morning to Mediapolis, Iowa and burial will take place at Kossuth cemetery, about one mile east of Mediapolis.
