RIDGEVILLE - Raymond "Ray" Harold Phillips, 50, of the Sandridge Community, Ridgeville, died Friday, April 22, 2016 at his home.

A graveside funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Live Oak Memorial Gardens, SC Highway 61, Charleston with Rev. Kyle Driggers and Rev. Ronald Jackson, Jr. and Rev. David Jackson officiating.

Ray was born in Charleston, a son of David Allen Phillips, Sr. and Ann Jackson Phillips. He worked in construction and was preceded in death by a brother, Robbie Phillips and his God Father Robert L. Jones.

Surviving are his parents of the Sandridge Community; a daughter, Tamera (John) Alred of Silsbee, TX; brothers, David Phillips, Jr. of North Charleston, and Earle (Melissa) Phillips of Ladson; a great aunt; Jessie Morris of Waco, Texas; Aunts; Novalene Jackson of Andrews, SC Joan Charpia (Harold) and Margaret Puckhaber (Buddy) of Charleston, SC. His Godmother Lois Jones of Goose Creek, SC, 3 grandchildren Kristlin, Madysen and Raiden of Silsbee, Texas. Four nephews and 2 nieces, several cousins, his many friends in Georgia and Texas, and his pet Beagle: Ginger.
