CLOVIS, N.M. - Opal Downey, 84, died Thursday, Aug. 27, 1998.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Kingswood Methodist Church with Dr. Mark Scott officiating. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens by SteedTodd Funeral Home.
Mrs. Downey was born in Minco, Okla. She married George Downey in 1932 at El Reno, Okla. They moved to New Mexico in 1944, where they farmed for several years in the St. Vrain area, later moving to Clovis. She was a member of Kingswood Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Valdia Buchwald of Santa Fe; and two granddaughters.
The family requests memorials be to Kingswood Methodist Church, Box 1126, Clovis, NM 88101; or St. John Methodist Church Bell Choir at Santa Fe, N.M.
