Born on April 19, 1937, in Columbia, SC, she was a daughter of the late James Roland Reed and Gladys Mae Livingston Reed. She was a 1955 graduate of North High School. She was retired Secretary for N&H Enterprises of Orangeburg, after many years of dedicated service. Peggy was a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased in death by her husband of 58 years, McTeer Brown; and two brothers, James Ray Reed and Robyn Asbury Reed.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2016, in St. Andrews United Methodist Church, with the Reverend David Caughman officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. All other times, friends may call at the residence of Donna and Allen Hendrix.
Peggy was vivacious and lived life sweetly. Her contagious personality was a source of inspiration to those who knew her and loved her. Among many loving qualities, Peggy will be remembered for her radiant smile and kind heart.
