Isaac Dinsmoor was the son of William Dinsmoor and Elizabeth Cockran. He was born in Windham, New Hampshire.Isaac was a Captain in the War of 1812. He came to Athens, Ohio in 1836 with his first wife Hannah whom he married on February 24, 1801. He and Hannah were the parents of: Charles A.; Isaac Alvah; Luther; Ann Matilda; Jane Morrison; Lewis; Daniel; Elizabeth Clark and William Anderson. After Hannah died in 1838,Isaac married Margaret Havens Solomon on March 10, 1839 in Meigs County Ohio. He and Margaret had 4 children: Margaret F.;Charles;Harriet Louise and Milo Guthrie. He died at 83 years in Lodi Township Athens County Ohio.
