Betty “Diane” Lewis, age 49, of Marion, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 18, 2016 after having numerous health issues, including pneumonia.
Diane was a loving mother, daughter, sister, wife, and a friend to all she met. She loved her Duke Blue Devils, but because of her daughter she could howl with the NC State Pack. Diane would give you the shirt off her back and the shoes off her feet.
Waiting to greet Diane in Heaven are her grandparents, her dad Jerry, her husband Vernon Jones, and her sister Sherry, as well as many aunts and uncles.
Left behind to cherish and carry on her memory is her mother, Brenda Lewis; her two daughters, Stephanie and Bethaney Lewis, all of the home; her sister, Mechelle Reel and husband Anthony; her brother, Mark Lewis; her aunt, Janice Hensley; nieces and nephews: Andrew, Dustin, Laken, Landon, Dylan, Ryan, Aubrey, Gavin, and Alexa, and a great nephew, Jamey; special family and friends, Niki, Jessica, Tiffany, and Tyler.
Services will be held Thursday, April 21, 2016 in the chapel of Westmoreland Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm, with the funeral service following immediately after. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
