Joseph 'Hank' Burcham, 89 of Sullivan passed away January 30, 2006 at 4:37 a.m. at Sullivan Health Care Center, Sullivan.
Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Camfield Cemetery, rural Sullivan. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Sullivan. Burial will be in Camfield Cemetery with military rites. Memorials: First Christian Church, Sullivan or Moultrie County Senior Center.
Hank was born October 28, 1916 to Joseph and Edith VanSickle Burcham in Lake City. He married Pattie Jo Emel on October 30, 1953 at the First Christian Church in Loving by the Rev. Beebee. Hank was a World War II veteran, a member of Sullivan Ambucs, and the Sullivan American Legion for over fifty years. Hank was also a devoted member of the First Christian Church in Sullivan. Hank was a farmer and he loved to fish, hunt and play cards.
