Carol W. Walkiewicz was born on April 7, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan to the late John and Helen Butcher. She passed away on April 13, 2016 in Plymouth, Michigan at the age of 76.
Carol was the loving wife of the late Bob Walkiewicz and Richard Bourassa. Devoted mother of Craig Bourassa and Troy (Paul Galor) Bourassa. Caring step-mother of Kim (Darrell) Honeycutt, Diana (Glenn Reinhackle) Ehrstin and Robert Jr. (Laura White) Walkiewicz. Cherished grandmother of Kristen and Brittany Bourassa, James and Amanda Walkiewicz and Josh White and great-grandmother of Ava and Peyton.
Beloved sister of Joan (Richard) Schamber. Having earned a Master's Degree in Art, she worked for over 30 years at Annapolis High School in Dearborn Heights.
Carol's family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday April 21, 2016 from 3-8 pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Rd. (east of Newburgh and I-275) in Livonia. Her life will be celebrated with a Funeral Service on Friday April 22 at 9:30 am, with viewing 9 am, at the funeral home.
Carol will be laid to rest at Acacia Park Cemetery in Beverly Hills, Michigan immediately following the service.
