Pansy Ruth Krieger Chambless, age 81 of New Boston, Texas, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016 in a local nursing home. Mrs. Chambless was born March 23, 1935 in Miller County, Arkansas.
She lived most of her life in Genoa, Arkansas. Mrs. Chambless enjoyed bingo and was known as the “Bingo Queen”.
Mrs. Chambless was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Ina Krieger; husband, Louis J. Chambless; two great grandchildren, Chrystal and Dillon Glass; brother, Ed Krieger; and two sisters, Carrie “Hop” Martin and Shirley Jones.
She is survived by three sons, Kenneth Chambless and wife, Denise of Wilmington SC; William “Chico” Chambless and wife, Lois of Pine Bluff, AR; and Johnny Chambless and wife, Vicki of Crossett, AR; three daughters, Debra Chambless Lashley of Texarkana, AR; Karen Chambless Lynch and husband, Marvin “Jesse” of New Boston, TX; and Donnette Chambless Murphree of Monahans, TX; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; one brother John B. Krieger and wife, Dinah of Washington, AR; two sisters, Peggy O’Ferrell and husband, Lawrence of LaBelle, FL and Nellie Frazier and husband, Carl of Genoa, AR; and numerous nephews, nieces and family friends.
A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 3pm Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the Central Church of Christ Cemetery in Genoa, AR with Bro. Jerry Monholland and Bro. Chris Hooten officiating.
