JUNKINS At Ninevah, Westmoreland County, on Wednesday, December 23, 1896, at 12:30 A.M., JOHN B. JUNKINS, aged 61 years. Funeral at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon; interment in the new cemetery at Armagh.
OBITUARY
John B. Junkins.
The subject of this sketch died at his home at Ninevah, Westmoreland County, at 12:30 o'clock yesterday morning, the cause of his demise being pneumonia. He was sixty-one years of age.
Mr. Junkins is survived by his wife, a daughter and son, Hattie and Spence, and a stepson and stepdaughter, Martin Gillpatrick, P.R.R. agent at Ninevah, and Mrs. James Murray, of Altoona.
He worked as a flagman for many years for the Pennsylvania Railroad Company, and later as a track-walker. For the past few years he was unable to work on account of failing health.
Mr. Junkins was a soldier in the late War, and was a member of Captain D. P. Smith Post 221, G. A. R., of New Florence.
The funeral took place at 2 o'clock this afternoon, interment being made in the new cemetery at Armagh.
