Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday (April 20, 2016) at Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark Boxman officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
Iva was born on September 18, 1919, to Lawrence and Jesse Greb in Valley City, North Dakota. When World War II started Iva moved to Los Angeles to work in a defense factory. There she met her husband, Adryan (Curley) Lester Burns. They were married on January 6, 1946 at Yuma Arizona. To this union their only son, Darrell Dean Burns, was born. Shortly after that they moved to Arkansas City and established residence.
She is survived by her son and his wife, Darrell and Connie Burns of Ponca City, three grandchildren Darrell Anthony Burns of Arkansas City, Darla Schrag of Inman, Kansas, and Dana Burns of Wichita, Kansas and three great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Gordon Greb and Harold Greb and sisters Vione Greb and Dorothy Mathiesen.
The family would like to thank Winfield Rest Haven Nursing Home and Interim Hospice for the care and comfort given to Iva and the Family.
