Jack grew up in Flat Rock, where he attended the youth group at First United Methodist Church. There he met his first wife. They were married in 1976 and had 2 children, a daughter and a son. Their marriage ended in 1990. He married a second time. He is survived by his wife, his children, and five grandchildren.
Early in adulthood Jack worked in the Flat Rock yards for the Detroit, Toledo and Ironton Railroad. Later, he worked for many years at K-Mart.
