Dorothy Lynette Summers, 81, of Henderson, passed away March 17, 2016, at home, surrounded by her loved ones. Lynette was born July 22, 1934, in Cochran, Ga., to William and Rosa Barrs. She went to Cochran High School, where she played basketball for four years and received Georgia's Golden Basketball Award three times for her outstanding play. Lynette is survived by her husband, of 30 years, Larry A. Summers; her brothers, Bill Barrs of Cochran, Bobby Barrs of Greenbackville, Va., and Charles Barrs of Jacksonville, Fla; her son, Tony Bertussi; her and grandchildren, Patrick Bertussi, Christopher Bertussi, Darrah Dunlap and Drusilla Dunlap. Memorial celebration will be 2-5 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at the Anthem Center, 2450 Hampton Road, Henderson, NV 89052.
