October 15, 1902
Miss Grace Overly of Wabash, IN, aged 21, a former teacher in the public schools of Peru, committed suicide last Saturday morning by jumping in front of a Wabash Railroad train just before it passed the place she was standing near the track. She was engaged to be married to a railroad engineer, and no cause is known why she took her own life.
Her lover, to whom she was shortly to wed, is completely prostrated over her tragic death, and immediately quit his engine on hearing the sad news.
