My Grandmother on my Mother's side.
This is my Mother's mother. She was known to the grandchildren as Gramma DeDe. She lived in California. We used to live there, but Dad was in the military and we traveled some before he ended up retiring from the service in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Claudine was the daughter of Franklin J. Hagey and Armedia M. St. Pierre Hagey.
Memories of my Gramma Dede include the smell of DoubleMint Gum. She always had this in her purse. She was very loving and giving. She would remember everyone's birthday and send a card. Gramma DeDe and her sister, my aunt, Pearl K. VanAuken lived together in California at 1301 Electric Street, Seal Beach, Calif. until Gramma Dede passed away. Then, Aunty Pearl moved back to Sioux City, Iowa where they both were born.
I remember you Gramma Dede with love.
