John Paul “Johnny” Miller, 64 of Waldo, Arkansas lost his life to cancer on April 15, 2016 at Christis St. Michael Health System in Texarkana, Texas.
He was born on March 20, 1952 in Waldo, Arkansas to the late James Oscar Miller and Frances Garrett Miller. He was a self-employed cattle and poultry farmer and loved animals.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a grandmother Minnie Garrett; two sisters, Dorothy Miller Price and Francell Miller Lowe; and a brother Travis Miller.
John is survived by his sister Lillian Miller Birdwell and husband Maurice of Pearl, Mississisppi; sister in law Mary Miller Rhodes; brother in law Mickey Lowe of both Haynesville, Louisiana; a special friend, Nell Olmstead of Waldo; and many nieces and nephews, and many many special friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Eric Goble officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia. Visitation with the family will be Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Pallbearers will be Warick Birdwell, Rollie Flaherty, Steve Atkinson, Troy Atkinson, and Bobby Coley.
