LINCOLN -- Ethel Mae Henson, 91, of Lincoln died at 1 p.m. Sunday (Aug. 12, 1990) at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital. Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Holland & Barry Funeral Home, Lincoln, with Duane Warren officiating. Burial will be in [Old] Union Cemetery, Lincoln. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
She was born Nov. 8, 1898, at Lincoln, a daughter of Curt and Ollie Buchanan Ackerson. She married Jesse M. Henson on June 3, 1916, in Lincoln. He died June 16, 1964.
Survivors include two sons, Marion, Riverside, Calif., and Jesse C., Battle Creek, Mich.; one daughter, Viola Killman, Lincoln; one brother, Harry Ackerson, Lincoln; 11 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 38 great-great-grandchildren.
Two sons and two granddaughters preceded her in death.
Mrs. Henson served as a foster grandparent for 12 years at Lincoln Developmental Center. She was a member of Faith Assembly of God Church, Lincoln.
