Mark was born to Norbert and Inez (Clement)Ahmann

He attended Trinity High School in Sioux City, Iowa and graduated from St. Mary's Catholic School in Remsen in 1950.

He served in the United States Army.

Mark married H. Jane Schmitz on August 27-1957 at St. Johns Catholic Church in Arcadia, Iowa.
The couple lived in various communities before moving to Wayne in 1986. Mark began a very long and successful career in radio and television broadcasting in 1956. included in his work were stops in Lincoln, Lansing Michigan, Sioux City Iowa and Wayne NE. While in Lincoln, Mark was the host of the Tom Osborne Coaches T.V. Show and commentator of Husker Football.
His work was recognized by being chosen to the Nebraska Baseball Hall of Fame. Mark was chosen Wayne's Citizen of the Year in 2001. He was the voice of Wayne State College football and basketball for many years.
He was the Public Relations Director of the American Legion for over 20 years.

Marks largest hobby was taking pictures. He has over 100 photo albums, filled with family and friends pictures.

Mark was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wayne and lector for many years and a 3rd and 4th Degree Knight Knights of Columbus.
