Flossie Ellen Burkhart, 90 years, of Bryan, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Dream Haven LLC, in Edgerton, Ohio where she had been a resident the past three years. Flossie was born December 22, 1921 in Bryan, the daughter of the late George and Della (Zuber) Burkhart. She was a 1939 graduate of Bryan High School. After her high school graduation, Flossie began working for the ARO Corp. and served as an Administrative Assistant to the President of ARO Corp for 40 years retiring in 1978. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Bryan. She was also a member of the Bryan Area Business Women’s Association were she had served as a Past President.

Preceded in death by her parents and brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Bessie Burkhart. She is survived by several close friends, including Darlene and Shelly King of Bryan.

Funeral services for Flossie Ellen Burkhart will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2012 in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home – Greenisen Chapel, 225 East High Street, Bryan with Pastor Jeff Dye officiating. Interment will follow in Brown Cemetery, Bryan, Ohio.
