Betty McCabe, 89, of Seaford, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016, at Seaford Center Nursing Home. She was born in Frankford, Sunday, Sept. 19, 1926, daughter of the late Joseph R. McCabe Jr. and Emma Lynn (Lynch) McCabe.

Ms. McCabe was a loving and happy person who enjoyed going to church and was strong in her faith. She also liked babysitting her nieces and nephews, and getting dressed up in her costume jewelry. In her spare time, Ms. McCabe loved going to many seeing-impaired support groups and camps throughout the years. She was a loving daughter, aunt, sister and friend, and will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Ms. McCabe was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph McCabe Jr. She is survived by her nephews: Kenneth Mariner and his wife Stella of Seaford, Raymond Mariner and his wife Barbara of Fruitland, Md., and Robert Mariner and his wife Yvonne of Salisbury, Md.; her nieces: Patsy Rae Merrit and her husband Steve of Seaford, Joanne Owens, of Salisbury, and Christine Arms and her husband Otis of Federsalsburg, Md.; and by numerous grand-nieces and -nephews.

Graveside Services will be held Monday, April 11, at 1 p.m., at Carey's Cemetery, 34407 Dupont Blvd., Frankford.
