Frank was born 1 Jun 1938 in Highland Park, Wayne County, Michigan to Adolph Lauri Juntunen and Jessie Poush Atlenbernt. He married Veronica Jean Wachucka daughter of Michael Wachucka and Genevieve Cherwinski on 25th of April 1961 in Norfolk, Virginia. Frank served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Everett F Larson DDR 830, and continued to serve in the U.S. Navy until his retirement in 1979 as a Master Chief Petty Officer. They had one son Michael Juntunen. Frank's dear wife Veronica passed away 16 Nov 1995 in Whatcom County, Washington where they made their home.
After retiring, he was very involved with the Free & Accepted Masons in Nooksack Valley Lodge No. 105, Whatcom Masonic Lodge No. 151 and Lynden International Lodge No. 56 as a Chaplain.
He met and married Brenda Farrar Wilder on 19 Nov 2006 whom he adored and enjoyed reading, genealogy, laughing, cooking, helping others and Lucy his Little 4 legged black daughter he'd laugh and say. Only daughter he'd have. Lucy went to his funeral.
He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda;
son Michael;
stepdaughter Emma (Jason) Carpenter;
stepsons Jeremiah (Misty) Wilder, Timothy (Jennifer) Wilder;
grandchildren Michael, Alex & Harley Long, Kenneth James and Kelly Diane Wilder, Destini Coy and Juliana Fernandez.
A service will be held Sunday, April 17th at Greenacres Cemetery at 2 p.m.
The family prefers, instead of flowers, memorials be sent to Whatcom Hospice House, 2806 Douglas Ave., Bellingham WA 98225.
